Plot[]
Julian tells the Narrator that he's going to stop trying to go on the show. He remembers last night when he accidentally hypnotized John Cameron and the audience. Leticia tells the story to her downstairs neighbor.
In the office of the president of the Perpetual Broadcasting Studio, John Cameron is berated by his boss, and told that he will be fired if the janitor tries anything again. The president has ordered a polar bear to be chained to the microphone as a deterrent.
At the base of the Eiffel Tower, Leticia carries up the polar bear crate up the stairs, as the trainer is nowhere to be found. John Cameron finds a box with The Flea in his dressing room (it is implied that Julian left it for him).
The polar bear is chained to the microphone podium, frightening all the stagehands and John Cameron. John tries to continue the show, but is clearly distracted by the polar bear. It breaks loose, causing panic among the acts and the audience. While the stagehands plan to detain the bear, Julian tries to calm the polar bear. It is revealed that Julian was the one who brought it out. The audience has fled, and in despair John Cameron throws himself at the polar bear. Julian throws himself between the two, becoming seriously injured. He is taken away in an ambulance.
