Plot[]
There is a public service announcement about the Great Recitating Platypus.
Julian is backstage at the Eiffel Tower, and despite the Narrator's worries, he's supposed to be there. There's going to be a stage hypnotist on the show, and the crew is letting him watch. In John Cameron's dressing room, Julian messes with the feature presentation a bit, and Leticia threatens to beat him with her belt. She says she is going to throw him out, but after the show.
Julian watches the hypnotist from backstage. The hypnotist demonstrates how hypnotized their volunteer is with a series of crazy events around them. He starts to count down, and while he does, John Cameron calls Julian out onto the stage to sing. The audience goes wild, throwing flowers at the janitor, until the hypnotist finishes counting down. He reaches one, and Julian awakes from a hypnotic trance. Julian thought he was singing, but he is dressed only in lederhosen, wading in a kiddie pool filled with Bavarian cream. The janitor runs off stage and into the stagehand's shower. He bangs against the wall with his bare fists, unbelievably upset. Trying to make him feel better, the Narrator encourages Julian to sing. He does, and conducts the song like his grandfather used to.
Meanwhile, the sounds of the shower can be heard from the stage, and John has to go into the shower to stop Julian. Since Julian was singing his great-grandfather's song, he accidentally hypnotizes John. The hypnotist brings him out again, and Julian hypnotizes the entire audience.
